So I'm Beginning To Think That Facebook Is The "All Knowing" And Controls EVERYTHING!

I am sitting at the dentist office because Jannie has an appointment. I normally would be stalking on Facebook, however, it has been "down" ALL DAY LONG and it is driving me ca-razy! So I figgered I would blog.

So along with Facebook acting up on me today, my phone has decided to do the same thing. I don't know what the problem is with my phone but I am now having to reset all my sounds. Oh and because my contacts are synced with Facebook and because my Facebook is down, I have no pictures next to anyone. I know not a big deal but because I already am super annoyed, it has added to my annoyance!

So I am beginning to think that Facebook is the "all knowing" and controls EVERYTHING! I mean it totally is prolly just a coincidence that both my phone and Facebook act up on the same day. My Facebook says it is down for maintenance and if I sign into Paul's account or one of the kids' account and go to my profile, it'll say it isn't available or something like that and to try again later.

How much later does it need to be?! When I woke Nathan up at 5 am, I couldn't go back to sleep right away so I opened my Facebook and it was down. So I know it has been down since at least 5 am and here it is, 1:48 in the afternoon!

But with all my frustration to this, it also makes me laugh that I get upset over this! I mean, what did we do before Facebook?! Oh that's right...MySpace! Haha!

Now when I go to Facebook on my computer, this is the page that comes up because it's "stuck" on my page because it won't let me sign out. If the kids want to get on Facebook, they have to use the desktop!

So like I mentioned above, I was at the dentist with Jannie. I have changed the kids to a different dentist because I like this guy much better. Jannie had her first appointment today. The other two will go next week. Why not all at the same time?! Jannie had a filling that fell out and sometimes it bothers her. So I asked for the first available, which was today. The dentist said that he didn't want to fill it again because it left her open for an infection. He said that it was a baby tooth and that he could tell by her X-rays that it'll become loose soon. He said that if for some reason it starts to bother her really bad then he would just pull the tooth. The tooth was a bit jagged so he "smoothed" it down for her. I think that was what was bothering her the most!

Last night I had Jill and Lori over for dinner and we decided dinner again tonight. Meatloaf. However, we are doing low carb and Jill has a great recipe for low carb meatloaf. Instead of using bread or bread crumbs, you use pork rinds. I had to go to Sam's to pick up my contacts so while I was there I found a bucket of pork rinds. (Oh by the way, remember back in 2010 when I had an ulcer in my eye?! Yeah, just had another one in my other eye, although not nearly as bad. Apparently one needs to take their contacts out at night, every night, and change the contacts as directed. Who knew?!)

For Christmas my friend, Dawn, gave me a microphone to keep in my car. Why?! So when I sing then I had something to sing into rather than using what was available (i.e. cell phone, tampon, air microphone). So I used it today while driving home from the dentist and Sam's. I didn't take the pictures though, Jannie did! HAHA

I was really belting it out here!

And yes, I changed my hairs again. Platinum blonde with red and purple tips but the red looks pink now and the tips part didn't really work out like I hoped. So it looks like a mess right now! I would show you a picture, however, I cannot get into my Facebook to grab the pictures! The above pictures I had to send to a "hidden" Facebook account just so I could get them on here! Anyway, 5:44 PM and Facebook still isn't up and it's time to eat dinner!

So, Mom, This Post Is For You!

So my mother-in-law told me that I needed to blog more because this is how she keeps up with the goings on here! She is on my Facebook but she doesn't like Facebook! So, Mom, this post is for you! I sure hope I remember what all I need to write because my memory ain't so good anymore! haha!

So I have taken some pictures of my tummy tucks. Well, before pictures and one after picture so far. I am still a little swollen but hopefully that goes away soon. My doctor told me 3 months to a year. I am hoping for the 3 months! I am still supposed to wear a wrap but she did tell me I can take it off sometimes. So if I am just at home having a lazy day (usually at night right before bed), I will take it off. There was one day I didn't wear it all day long and ran errands and such and boy my stomach swelled up! So I made sure I wore my wrap all day and night (unless I showered) for a few days. Then the swelling went back down! So here are some pictures of the tummy tuck:

This picture still has a lot of swelling. More than now. My "new" belly button still has stitches here. The stitches have since been taken out and the swelling has gone way down. And I guess I had more stretch marks than I thought because they didn't totally go away. But the stretch marks I can deal with, the excess skin is what was bringing me down!

Christmas break was a nice time to lounge and be lazy. I also recovered a lot. But I am glad that school started back up again!

Not much really has gone on since. I've been busy with FRG stuff with Paul's unit. I will try and blog more later!!

So Yesterday I FINALLY Had My Tummy Tuck!

Wow! I didn't realize it has been *FOREVER* since I posted something!! So Paul graduated from school as the Distinguished Honor Grad (meaning he was #1 in class). He came home for about a month before deploying. I am doing well holding down the fort! I spent Thanksgiving here and celebrated it with Jill, Lori and Melissa and the kids. We had a great day. It took *FOREVER* for the 20 lb turkey to get done! Why have that big of a turkey for such a small crowd?! Well we had more who said they were coming but things happened and some had to cancel and some didn't show up! Oh well! But for the future, a 20 lb turkey roasting at 325 doesn't get done in 4-5 hours like the directions said! It was more like 7 hours and that was upping the temp!! It was all good and we had plenty of leftovers!!

So like I said, Paul is deployed. If you would like to send him words of encouragement or packages, let me know. I do not want to post his email or address on here. But if I know who you are, I can send it to you!! Most of my readers are on my Facebook (I think anyway) so you can always message me there!! He is doing well! And I have some exciting news. He made the E8 list, which means promotion soon! He is number 11 on the list so he should be promoted toward the beginning of 2012! Yay for a raise for me! haha! He will be staying in the Army a bit longer now because of it. Not much longer. He wanted to retire at 20 years (2013) but he has to have so much time in the Army after a promotion. I think he will only have to extend a year, but I may be wrong. He decided to stay in because he is so close to the top of the promotion list. He could turn it down, but why?! I could use a raise! hehe!! I am proud of him! And with a new promotion means new responsibilities at work. He has done all he can do as an E7 so he has been sorta "stuck" with what he can do as a job. So he is looking forward to bigger and better things!! Congrats, Paul!!

So yesterday I *FINALLY* had my tummy tuck! I will post some before pictures when I have some after pictures to go with it. Before anyone says I didn't need one, wait until you see the before pictures. I have lost a lot of weight on my own but I also had a lot of excess skin that would never go away on its own. I have talked to surgeons and they said the only way was to cut it off. So I did. I haven't seen anything with it yet seeing how I am still all wrapped up. I see the doctor tomorrow for a follow up. I think he will unwrap me to see how things look and such. I hope to see it and maybe snap some in between pictures too! I am afraid I may get all light headed! I have a "cup" thing that drains fluid and blood. It has to be dumped twice a day, and thankfully Jill is here to help me. Every time she empties it, I get all flushed and sick feeling. And I am not even watching! But I have the images in my mind and that's all! I am such a wuss!! haha! When she poured it out this morning, I sat down on the toilet lid this time. It seemed to help versus standing up! Just writing about it right now is making my stomach all queasy! I am grateful that Jill is able to stay with me and help me. Her girls and my girls are loving the sleep overs! Let me try and get some pictures posted.

Of course I have the weird allergy of being allergic to Neosporin/Triple Antibiotic ointment!

So Nathan was invited to go to Disneyland with some friends. But I had to pay for it and I didn't have the money to pay for that *AND* get him Christmas gifts. So Disneyland is his Christmas gift. Of course, he will have a few under the tree from family and some from Santa. He texts me daily and lets me know how he is doing. He is having a great time and will be home Christmas Eve sometime. He said since there will be 6 women here, after Christmas he is going to stay with Sage (his buddy he is at Disneyland with) so he can get some dude time with him and Mark (Sage's dad). Haha! I don't blame him! 6 women can be skerry to a 15 year old boy! haha!! The people he went with have two dogs. She had someone set up to dog sit but it fell through so she asked me to do it. She said she felt bad because she knew I was fixing to have surgery and didn't want to burden me with it. But it is all good since the girls are off from school and can help me out. They are good dogs and are very calm and quiet! haha

So he is having a great time there. He left on the 17th and spent 3 days at Disneyland. He heads back soon and will be home by Christmas Eve! I do miss him and am glad he hasn't forgotten his mama and texts me every night!!

So like I said, I got a cat. I think I am more of a cat person than I thought. I *LOVE* my cat. She hides during the day from the kids. She comes out when it is quiet and that means the girls are to be in bed! haha! I decided to call her Diabla because I ran out of cat food (didn't realize we had run out) and she sat and stared at me for 10 minutes without breaking her gaze. Then she went and peed in my sink, looking at me the whole time. I figured that Diabla was suitable! I opened a can of tuna fish and fed her that and she loved it. Got food later that day and made sure I haven't ran out of food since! haha! I got her because a family abandoned her and my friend was their neighbor. Diabla sorta adopted them but her own cat wasn't going to allow it. I had thought about getting the girls a cat for Christmas but didn't want to have to pay for one. And I hoped it would be litterbox trained and such. Anyway, my friend posted it on Facebook and I picked up Diabla that night. Since then, she has adopted me and I love her to death!! She is a black cat. She is small too. She has been cuddling with me on the bed while I rest up. I absolutely adore her!! Who'd have thunk it?! I have never really been fond of cats, but she stole my heart!!

So what else have I been up to?! We had a White Elephant/Gift Exchange a couple of weeks ago. We had a great time! It was also an ugly sweater contest but not everyone participated. I bought my cat sweater vest at Savers and "tackied" it up! And then I wrote MEOWY CHRISTMAS on it! haha!!

One night I participated in a flash mob! It was awesome! If you don't know what one is, YouTube flash mobs! We did it at Freedom Crossing (the PX) on base. We had a great time! I want to do a frozen flash mob next! YouTube Frozen Flash Mob Central Station or something like that. Classic! I wanna do that one because there are no dance steps involved!!

Of course on the 17th we all celebrated Jill's birthday by going to play BINGO. She has never played it and I figgered we were going to go play. It took us all of 15 games to finally get it right. All the games are color coded and then there were pull tabs and fast calling numbers. It was stressful to keep up with the fast called numbers only to find out that they were pull tabs, not BINGO. So then we had to use other colors to mark our cards again! And it was so confusing! haha! By the last game we finally had a non stressful game! Jill was one number away from winning the $700 jackpot!!

Hmm...I am looking through my pictures on Facebook to see what all I missed!! So one night, we were at dinner at Jasmine's house. She just got a new trampoline for her son's birthday. We had a fire going and the adults were sitting around it chatting. Jannie came up to me and told me she slipped and hit her face on her knee. She wasn't crying and her hair covered her face. I told her to be careful when getting off the trampoline. She then said, "But look at my face!" And she pulled her hair back. And OMG! The adults freaked, which made Jannie freak out and she started crying. The LUMP on her face stuck out a good inch! The pictures didn't really do it justice! It was one of those you had to be there to believe it moments!! She still has a bit of a shiner although almost gone. This all happened on 3 December!!

On 6 December, we got some snow. Schools were delayed by 2 hours. I told Nathan I made it happen just for his birthday! haha! He told me if I really loved him I would have made it snow enough to have the schools cancel classes!! I told him I didn't want other moms mad at me! haha!!

So both Nathan and Meghan have had birthdays since the last time I blogged! Boy this is a long blog just to catch up! haha!! Here are pictures from both the kids' party. Meghan wanted a "tea party" but I made homemade hot chocolate instead! They all had a great time. Nathan wanted to play pool for his birthday. He had a good time at that too! I dropped the ball on getting pictures for Meghan's birthday with her friends. My phone was almost dead and wouldn't take pictures. So I got her with opening gifts after her friends left. She had quite a bit of girls here and they made and decorated cup cakes and had homemade hot chocolate. The girls all had fun!!

So I got the Christmas tree up. And by *I* got it up, I mean Nathan set it up and then the girls and Jill's girls decorated it. Since Jill is staying here while I recover from surgery, we figgered we would combine our Christmases together. I still need to wrap the gifts. I am so thinking of just putting them in WalMart bags and tying them closed! haha! I totally should have wrapped them before yesterday!!!! So I think I caught up on the major things that happened since the last time I blogged! I am going to close it up now and leave ya with some pictures I found funny. I hope all y'all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I'm The Sexy One In The Front

Hello again, so soon! hehe! I just wanted to let everyone know that Paul is done with his schooling. He is still there since he doesn't graduate until Friday, but he is done with all his work. He had a MAJOR project to do that took him about 120-ish hours to complete. All last week I didn't hear from him. He slept about 6-ish hours the whole 120 hours he worked on this project. Yeah, it was *THAT* hard! He went in for his briefing of the project and they told him it wasn't correct and that he had about 30-ish more minutes to work on it. So he worked on it and fixed it and then he helped others with their projects. He said everyone else had like hours left to do on their projects to get them correct. He didn't have to go help anyone, but he did anyway. What a guy, eh?! But he told me that on Sunday he was going to go over to a buddy's house to watch feetsball but that he also wanted to help people with projects. So I told him he had been working his butt off on his own and working his butt off helping others. I told him he deserved a break. So he went to help others for a bit on their projects and then left to go see his buddy one last time before he heads home.

OOOOH and I didn't even brag about the best part either! He will graduate as Distinguished Honor grad. Meaning, he is #1 in class. Awesome, eh?! I am so proud of him and all his hard work!!

On Sunday I hung out at home all day until a little after 4:00-ish. My friend, Julie, had surgery on Friday. They removed part of her thyroid since there is a possibility of thyroid cancer. She came home on Saturday but wasn't up for visitors that day. I took her dude and boys dinner on Friday night so I got to talk to Shane for a bit that night about the surgery. He said that she was doing well so that was a relief.

Jill and I headed over to see Julie on Sunday and we chatted with her for about 30-ish minutes and then we left. I needed to get home to start dinner. Kids had gone bowling with some friends and Holly was at my house and said she was going to head back to her hotel since no one was at the house. I told her I was heading home and then start dinner. So she stayed! I made stroganoff for dinner and it was yummy! I haven't had that in the longest time! Holly had bought some red velvet cake ice cream for dessert and that was super yummy too!! The girls finished it off today! hehe

So Monday I sat around all day long waiting for maintenance that never showed up! UGH! My whole day was a waste! I had called Dawn to see if she could pick kids up and everything after school because I was waiting. She takes to school in the morning and I pick up after school. Thankfully she was willing to do so!! So finally after 5:00 came and went (last time for appointments) I complained to Paul about it. So I decided to write a letter to them about it because when I checked my status online, it said the appointment was canceled! I *NEVER* canceled the appointment! Double ugh! So I wrote our housing office on Facebook and then Jill tweaked it because she is a better writer than I am! The complaint is as follows:

BBC - Normally I would not complain about an issue, purely due to the fact that I felt in the past I have been treated fairly. This time, however, I feel that BBC maintenance here has failed to serve my needs. I have been married to the military for 15 plus years and have lived at 5 different bases in those years, with no issues. The housing managers here, however, by far, are *THE* worst. When it comes to maintenance completing their jobs, or even arriving at their scheduled appointments, BBC receives a failing grade! My appointment that was scheduled for today from 1-5, was never fulfilled. I had to rearrange my day and schedule for someone to pick up my three children from school, for what, just to hope and anxiously await the possibility of an employee of BBC to come to my home and fulfill a job that he/she is hired to do?

If I am not mistaken, this is one of the perks of living in privatized housing (being able to call in a work orders for the issue to be fixed). Had I been given a courtesy call to notify me of whatever unfortunate mishap that had prevented the service person from fulfilling his/her duties, I would not be typing this now. I also double checked my appointment time online, again, to be certain that I had not mixed up dates and or times. Once I checked the email, the appointment indeed, was for today. I then checked on your website to see the status of my appointment and it said CANCELED. I would greatly appreciate an explanation, as to *WHOM* canceled my appointment and furthermore why I was *NOT* notified of this change, as today has been a complete waste of my time.

With this all being said I would like to add, I *DO* understand that BBC has several homes and housing areas to take care of and that I enjoy the home and housing area I live in. I just feel that I was not taken care of properly and would hope that this is not the way BBC runs their business normally. I truly hope that this is resolved in a timely manner, as I can not make up this Monday. If this work ethic is to continued I will be forced to make ICE complaints with every issue that surfaces. Thank you for your time.

Today I received a call from maintenance and they said they could come out tomorrow morning between 8-12 to fix my floor or come today just after 3:30. I chose today. I may be "working" tomorrow. My sister, Heather, is a realtor and she is trying to expand her business out here. She asked me to take some pictures of new homes they have listed. So I went today to one housing area and had 8 houses on the list. Out of the 8: 1 was sold, 4 were still "sticks" and 3 were complete. So I took pictures of the 3 houses. I like looking at new homes! So after I took some outside shots, I tried the doors to see if I could get in to take inside pictures. Because they're not all the way finished, the doors were unlocked. So I let myself in and took pictures on the inside.

She has more listings in another area of town but there are 18 of them on the list. So I am not sure if I am going to go tomorrow to do those or if I am going to work on getting the pictures I took today uploaded online and write up a description of the house. She told me she would pay me to do all this, so that'll be awesome. She wants me to get my realtor's license but I haven't been quite sold on that yet! Having to speak to people I do not know isn't my cup of tea. I tend to come off as snobby because I clam up from being so uncomfortable! So I really am afraid of all that! But going around taking pictures and being a "gopher" is good with me! hehe!

Maintenance showed up about 4:00-ish right when power went out in my neighborhood! UGH! I would have been upset if the dude couldn't do his job because of it! Not at him or housing, but because of the whole thing! You know, when it rains, it pours! hehe! But he was able to fix the floor but not able to heat dry it. So he put my dumbbell weights on it to help hold it down. Glad they're getting some use because I sure haven't been using them lately! Ha!

Shortly after that, I went to Best Buy with Jill. She wanted a new laptop and wanted to go check them out. So I tagged along. She found the one she wanted, paid and then headed to a different Best Buy to pick it up since the one we were at didn't have it in stock. So after we picked it up from there, she took me home.

I called Paul when I got home and after I got girls into bed. He won't have much time at home after he is home from school and before he heads to Afghanistan. He will get one 4-day weekend but will work the rest of the time to get ready to head out. I can't tell y'all when he is scheduled to leave. But I will let you know after he is gone. The kids and I are looking forward to him coming home! He's been gone since mid-June so it's been a LOOOONG time!

Hello y'all! So I'm sitting on the porch on this loverly Saturday morning completely bored with the new Facebook and decided I should prolly post on here since it's been a few days! Yay you, my fellow followers!

Jannie's birthday was last week and last Saturday we did her birthday party. She did a 50s theme. She came home and told me she was having a party and set it all up on her own. Nice! She planned it all out and I helped her where I had to...you know, buying the things she lacked money in! hehe! She's not a huge fan of cake so she typically opts for chocolate cheesecake brownies with icing. So that is what I made for her. She had a lot of fun and raked in some nice gifts and almost $100! I wanna be 11 again to see if I can get that much cash! hehe! And I need to throw a shout out to Dawn for providing the 50s stuff for Jannie's party! They had a hula hoop contest and some sort of dance thing where you dance with the music and when it stops, you have to stop or you're out! Holly was in charge of playing the music. It was funny when she would start and stop within a second! The girls enjoyed it! She also did a pin the poodle on the skirt. All the girls that came seemed to have a fun time! Happy Birthday, Jannie! I love you!

The rest of the week was filled with some FRG stuff. Had a coffee one night at BJs and that was a nice time. Had a FRG meeting another night. So hopefully once dudes are gone, some of the FRG stuff will get less! hehe

So last night a friend of mine had a going away party for her husband. As you know, dudes are fixing to deploy. I had a nice time. We played Spoons, and it got rough! I had blood drawn and bruises! Eek! Had a great time and the girls and I left about midnight-thirty for home. Nathan stayed over at Sage's last night.

I ended up with 3 cuts like this! Two on one hand, and one on the other!

I have been trying since the last time I posted to get pictures, but I couldn't! So I logged into Paul's Facebook account and guess what?! I can access all my pictures from his accounts! Weird!

Then there was a day that my allergies were kicking my butt! So I had to go to extreme measures to keep my nose from leaking too badly. Really sexy, I know!

Then there was a night that we got a bad storm and our power went out for about 3 1/2 hours! While it was still light-ish outside, we could see with the window blinds opened, but we eventually had to get flashlights, head lamps and candles. Jannie and I played SkipBo while the other two went to church activities. We ended up turning a flashlight on so we could see better!

Then one night I went to Wal Mart with Jill. We found some sugar free cream pies and there was low carbs in them. So we bought them and decided when we got to the car, we wanted to eat them. Hello blog peeps! I had planned to post tonight but for whatever reason, Facebook is being a turd and I cannot pull up my pictures! I can certainly upload them from my phone, but when I try to open them up, it won't allow me to! So hopefully tomorrow I can work on trying to get a lot of pictures onto here!

If you follow me on Facebook, then I am sure you aren't missing me so much on here, that is, if you are missing me on here! ha!

We've had a lot happening especially me with FRG. Thankfully most FRG things are during the day while kids are at school. I've had one meeting that took place at night!

On September 9, there was a Casing of the Colors ceremony for Paul's brigade as they're preparing to head off for a deployment. Paul missed it seeing how he is still in school, so I took some video of it. I always like watching military things. I loved it when we were in Fort Hood and the 1st CAV did things. They had horses and such! If you ever are in the Fort Hood area and have the chance to see a 1st CAV anything on the parade field, I encourage you to take the time to watch it! Amazing! But I got of the subject. What is the Casing of the Colors?! Each brigade and then smaller sections called squadrons have guidons or flags. Well, when they deploy, they "case" them and get them ready to go to where ever it is they're going. They'll do an uncasing ceremony once to the place they're deployed. And then another casing when they are fixing to come home. And of course, once home, they will uncase them again! It was a nice day and tried to rain on us but for the most part, it didn't! I was able to access the video on Facebook, but not the pictures! UGH! So like I said, maybe I can get pictures posted tomorrow?! Oh, and Paul's squadron is 1-13 CAV!

Because I have been busy quite a lot lately with FRG, the days seem to have run together! I know there was an FRG leader's lunch one day, which was fun. And today we did a mock scenario of what is called a CARE team. Should there be an injury or a death while the guys are deployed, and if the family affected by it is here and if they want they can request a CARE team to come in. Basically check on the needs of the family, organize meals, do laundry, whatever along those lines. Because it was mock, we kept saying "time out" and discussing things and then "time in" when we were to play our rolls. It ended up in lots of giggles at the end when we were being evaluated. It wasn't a "pass or fail" type thing, but a learning experience. When we were done, we discussed with our colonel's wife the things that might help us better should we happen to be called out on a CARE team. So now we know what we need to work on and such along those lines. That took most of the day but was done in time to get kids from school.

The kids and I are doing well. Counting down the days for when Paul is home. It's been a long while now! He is doing well and has now entered the very hardest part of this time at school. He said for the next 4-5 days he will receive very little sleep and will be working on some project non-stop. He must be working hard as it's been almost 2 days since I've heard from him. If he does well on this project, he *SHOULD* graduate top in class as distinguished honor grad (ranked #1). So far, he hasn't failed any tests and I think he is the only one that has not failed any! I am very proud of him and his hard work! I know this has been a sacrifice for our family, but in the grand scheme of things, it does help open up more job opportunities when he gets out of the Army!

So, I can't think of all that has gone on since the last time I blogged. Hopefully seeing some of the pictures might help jog my memory?! I will try and explain each section of pictures as I post them, whenever that may be! On that note, I hope y'all have a great night!

Holy Moly...I've Gone Purple!

Hello! Let's jump right in, shall we?! hehe! Wednesday and Thursday were the days for more deployment expos and such. I got lots of handouts and stuff. Got the kids some sort of daddy doll that they can put a picture of Paul in the face part so they can see him every night after he deploys. I also got a couple of teddy bears with patches all over them. They're cute! I put those away as part of birthday gifts for the girls. Jannie has informed me that her birthday is very soon. And yes, it is!

After the expo thing on Thursday, I dropped Lori and Jill off and Jill left to get her mama. And then the long weekend came about with everyone's husbands off for the 4-day weekend. That is everyone, but me. Now, he had it off, but he is still at school. So yeah, my weekend pretty much sucked being alone all day long!

First though, Thursday night Nathan had a feetsball game. He got to play 3-4 plays and he loved it. He loves feetsball when they actually play him, so I am glad they played him. His team lost though. Boo! Holly came to the game with me and the girls. After the game, we all went back home and started dinner. Soon Heather and Ben came over. They were in town for business and wanted to do dinner. It was awesome to have 2 of my 3 sisters over. We missed ya, Heidi. Ben grilled up some steak and chicken for fajitas. Holly made some guac and I started up the peppers and onions. I even used low carb tortillas for my fajita to keep up with the low carb diet. Soon after dinner, because we ate kinda late, everyone left that had to leave and I got kids into bed after dishes were done.

I hung out around the house on Friday while the kids were in school. I did go over Friday morning to Jill's house and met her mama and chatted with them for a little bit before going home. I really don't remember what all I did Friday. Soon the kids were done with school and I went and grabbed them. When Nathan was done with feetsball practice, I grabbed him. The girls went to Winter's house to spend the night and Sage came over to spend the night here. Jill invited me over to play some games, so I headed over there.

We played SkipBo and in we I mean, Jill, her mama, and Brett (Jill's hubby) and me. Soon after, Lori and Rob showed up and we played Phase 10. I love Phase 10! After we played Phase 10, it was time to head home.

On Saturday, Jannie was supposed to go over to another friend's house but it was canceled because the mom was sick. So I let the girls stay at Winter's for a bit. Then Dawn (Winter's and Sage's mama) picked up the boys and she took her 4 and my 3 to the outlet mall. She's a trooper because she went by herself with 7 kids! Eek! So I hung out at home by myself, again, until Holly came over to do up laundry. We watched a few movies and I ended up falling asleep in the second one.

I needed a hairscut so I texted Diana (my hairscutting peep) and she told me to go see her at 4:30. I left a little before that to run an errand when Nathan texted. He and the girls were home by then and I swung by and grabbed Nathan since he needed his hairs cut too. We ran over to SuperCuts but some other lady beat us and was getting a style done, so we had to wait for a bit. The girls were at home with Holly still. They were going to stay the night with Holly again at her hotel.

When we got done with the hairscut, we headed back home. Holly and the girls were finishing up dinner and then they got ready to leave. Nathan was going to a baptism at the church for a friend of his so I ran him up there. While I was gone, Holly and the girls left. I stopped to get a RedBox movie and got home to an empty house again. Sigh. Thankfully Jill invited me over for another round of Phase 10. The night before, she won the game, however, this night, I kicked booty! WOOT!

After the baptism, Nathan was invited to go bowling with some members and their sons. So when he was done and got home, he texted me about the movies I got. He wanted to watch one with me, so when Phase 10 was done, I headed home. When I got home, he wanted to go get a soda so we headed to the Shoppette for that and then back to the house to watch the movie. He fell asleep toward the end of it and I went to bed a little after 1:00 AM! Eek!!

Sunday I slept in just a little bit. I was up before Nathan was. I texted a little bit then Nathan was awake. He asked if he could go to the movies with Sage and I said that was fine but that meant another day by myself. So after he left, I went back to bed to watch a movie. Holly texted and wanted to know if I wanted to go to the mall with her and the girls. So I got up and got ready to go. When they got here, we headed out to the outlet mall. We went to a few stores and walked around a bit. Then after a while, we headed home. Nathan was there with Sage playing video games. I had put a roast in the crockpot that morning and it was smelling yummy. We hung out and when it was time to make up the rest of dinner, I did so. It was yummy.

Holly was going to have the girls spend the night again and they were getting ready to go. I was invited over to someone's (from FRG) house along with Jill. I told the girls bye and good night, gave them a kiss and I grabbed Jill and we headed over to Jasmine's house. Jill ended up helping Jasmine recolor her hairs since she missed a lot of spots. Paul called me and I went on the patio and chatted with him for a good bit. Then he let me go so he could call the kids on their cell phones. We didn't stay at Jasmine's too long. I took Jill home so she could get her girls into bed (Brett was home) and she grabbed a hoodie and we left to my house.

Lori had invited us over as well, so I stopped at my house and Nathan was there playing video games. I asked if he wanted to come along and he didn't. Lori lives only a couple of streets from me and he knows where she lives. He had borrowed a headset from Lori earlier that night and he and his buddies were chatting on it. I grabbed a hoodie and we went to Lori's. They were at their neighbor's house and I must say that this was the first party I have ever crashed. Ha! We met everyone and had a good time chatting. Soon we left and walked back over to Lori's house and we chatted there. After a little while, I took Jill home and went home myself. Nathan had feetsball Monday morning so he had gone to bed fairly early (for him) so he could get up for practice.

This morning I got Nathan up at 7:45 AM so he could get ready for feetsball. The plan was to meet Holly at the zoo with the girls, but Nathan wasn't sure when he would be done. He said prolly no later than 11:00. I dropped him off and went home. Soon Jill and her clan were over but only parked in my driveway and made their way over to the baseball field. Our housing area renovated it and they were having a mother/son vs. father/daughter game and Brett and girls were going to play in it (not my girls but Brett and Jill's girls). Paul texted with me and soon had to go because he was studying. He has 3 major tests tomorrow morning! Eek!

Jill and I watched the game and soon was joined by another lady from FRG named Cinda. The game was fun to watch. The father/daughter team won and after they had free nachos, popcorn, cracker jack and hot dogs. Then they had some "door prizes" and I didn't win! Shucks! Oh at some point during all this, I dropped my garage remote since I took that instead of keys to get into my house. So after this was all done, we walked back to my house but the garage doors wouldn't open and I figgered it was a power outage. So we sat on the patio and chatted. I remembered I dropped my garage door opener and I figgered the batteries were knocked loose. So I opened it up, fixed the batteries and nothing. I messed around a bit and nothing. Finally after messing around a bit with it again, only one garage door opened, which was all I needed. Jill could grab her keys that were on my counter and I didn't have to call anyone to come unlock my house! hehe!

Nathan texted me and said he was done but it was close to 11:30 so I went and grabbed him. He really didn't want to go to the zoo and I let Holly know. She said that was fine because the zoo was sorta dumb anyway. She said there were hardly any animals. But I'm glad that she is here and that the girls can hang out with her. She loves to spoil her nieces and nephews and I know my girls are in heaven with Holly around! They had a fun time at the zoo and I heard they went to the mall again after and ate Chinese food, which I hear is Holly's ~~MOST~~ least favorite thing to eat from a mall! hehe

After hanging out with Nathan for a bit and seeing that he had only interest in the video game he was playing with his friends the day before (he still hasn't Lori's earpiece), I figgered I could sit and watch him play, or fix my boring hairs. I thought about bleaching the ends and coloring it purple and leaving the black underneath somehow. I needed gloves and some bleach for my hairs. I asked Jill if she wanted to go and she was down with that. We ran a few errands and then made our way to Sally's to grab the stuff I needed and then to Jill's house to bleach my hairs and color it. And yes, my hairs were weeping!! hehe! And I decided my whole head was going to be purple. Jill was going to color her hair the same time too. She decided that she was going to go for a different shade, a lighter pink rather than the hot pink she normally has.

Yep the hairs must be bleached! And yes, that's a Commissary bag on my head!

First and foremost, gotta say HaPpY BiRtHdAy to my Pops, Maddie (my niece) and Heather (my sister). Also would like to say HaPpY AnNiVeRsArY to my folks! They will be married tomorrow for 43 years! WOOT! Love and miss all y'all!!

So I've been busy this week! I've had something going on everyday since the last time I posted. Most of it being FRG (Family Readiness Group) stuff. Keeps me busy, it does!

On Tuesday Jill and I hung out and ran a few errands. This is what happens when I don't write things down. I don't remember what all we did that day! But we remained busy. And then that night we went to a deployment thing called Bulldog Academy. It is nice that they're holding these because when Paul was deployed back in 2004, we had nothing like this! Unfortunately, not everyone attends and I am afraid people will be lost when it is time for the guys to deploy.

On Wednesday (24th), I went to a FRG leaders lunch. We went to L&J's and it was yummy. I got a salad but I didn't really like it. I really wanted some tacos, but I'm *TRYING* to do the low-carb thing and I was trying to be good! But I did have some chips and salsa (which the chips weren't low-carb). But I didn't eat as much as I normally did!! It was a nice lunch and glad to get to see some of the ladies there!

When lunch was done, I hung out at the house until it was time to get kids from school. After I got them and dropped off Dawn's kids (the same ones I would pick up last year), the girls started their homework. Meghan said she wasn't feeling well and she was cold. So she took her temp and she had a fever. She was complaining about her lower back hurting. I asked her if she was able to pee and she said it was hard to pee and that she felt like she had to pee all day long. However, when she went to pee, nothing would come out. Uh oh. So I called telenurse to get a referral to the urgent care clinic because UTI is what I figgered. After chatting with the nurse on that, she told me I should take her to the ER and suggested a civilian hospital after I complained how the urgent care clinic would be faster than the Army hospital ER. She suggested a certain civilian one and we went. We were in and out in about an hour, maybe even less!

I had taken Jannie over to Jill's house and then texted Nathan that he would have to walk home from feetsball practice. Thank goodness the school is in our neighborhood! The doctor confirmed it was a UTI and sent us on our way with scripts for meds.

I got home in time to drop Nathan off at church activities and Meghan really wanted to go too. She had meds in her for the fever and because it was just a UTI, it wasn't contagious. So I dropped her off at Karen's house since it was being held there that night. I picked up Jill and we headed off to Walgreens to fill Meghan's antibiotic script. While we waited for that, we ran to Albertson's to grab a few groceries and then back to Walgreens to pick up meds.

Paul called while we were there and I got to chat with him. His folks visited him that weekend and he was having a good time with them. He made sure all his homework was done before they came so he could just spend time with them! He said he was fixing to head out to the range come Monday for the week. So yeah, I haven't heard from him this week! He did call me again on Sunday and was able to chat with the kids as well. He is still doing well at school and can't wait to come home!! I have to concur!

On Thursday, I had a FRG training thing to go to. It took all morning long and I went with Jill, Lori and Frances. We met up with other peeps from our squadron there. It wasn't too bad. It was very informative but some things I am a little lost on since I am just starting this stuff while the others have been to more! After we were done, SmashBurger was suggested for lunch but Lori and Frances declined. So I took them back home and then Jill and I ate at SmashBurger, totally blowing our low-carb diet! But it is so yummy! After there, Jill went home and I hung out at home until it was time to go to my appointment (Dawn was picking kids up this day).

I had my appointment with the plastic surgeon this day too. He told me what all he was going to do and such. Basically cut out the excess skin on my stomach and pull down my skin to make it tight and sew it together. He will have to recreate a new belly button too! Eek! I'm skerred about that! He is going to lipo inner thighs and butt area. Oh, while he is working on my abdomen, he said that he would fix the muscles in there too that naturally separate when having kids. Typically, they don't go back together so it sorta causes a hernia-like effect. So he will repair those too. And after he sews my stomach all up and such, if my stomach area needs any lipo, then he will do that too!

Later that night, I went to Jill's house so we could walk our neighborhood. Had to walk off that Smashburger! But we try to walk as often as possible at night! Anyway, my eyes were really bothering me, so when I got home, I took my contacts out. I don't know when I even put them in. I know I should take them out at night, but I guess I'm too lazy to do so! I really do hate my glasses and I think that is why I keep my contacts in. I say it is so I can see my dreams clearly!! hehe! I had started watching "Samantha Who" on Netflix and that show is funny. Too bad it is no longer playing on TV.

I found this humorous at the bottom of my SmashBurger receipt! Just the part: Psst...You're actually reading this?!

I finally took my contacts out tonight after putting them in, uh, um, well I don't know when I put them in!

Friday was the day I got my car's windows tinted. One of the car dealer dudes told me that he would tint the front two windows if I bought the car (the other windows are tinted already). Jill followed me over since I was told it would be a few hours. Come to find out, it was only going to be about an hour. So we stayed there. When the car was done, the drivers window looked crappy as it had bubbles and a scratch or something. We went over to the dealership (they filled my car up on gas again) and they called back over to the place that did it and they told us to take it back. So we went back. We hung out for a little over an hour before the car was done again. This time they did it right. It's nice with those windows tinted!! And even better since it was freeeeee! WOOT! Then back home, Jill left, and I went to grab kids from school! Got Nathan later from feetsball too!

Later that night, we went and hung out at Jill's house. Jill and I thought it would be funny if we "liked" all the pictures in a friend's photo albums so that she had a ton of notifications the next time she checked Facebook. Yeah, we're dorks! hehe! Anyway, soon I was banned by Facebook on liking things. So I counted up the pictures I liked and I had liked 457 before they cut me off! hehe! So word of advice: don't like 457 things in one sitting on Facebook, otherwise you're bound to be grounded from liking anything else! I was grounded for a few days! I think it finally lifted yesterday or the day before! Eek! hehe!

On Saturday morning I went to Nathan's feetsball game. He didn't play. He said he is a benchwarmer although they don't have a bench! And I don't know why they were on the opposite side of the field?! Anyway, I couldn't get a closer picture of him! Paul kept texting me to send him a picture, so I did!

I made it to halftime before I left. It was already super hot and no shade! Nathan had told me not to go since he doesn't play but I have to! But I left at halftime because I was starting to not feel well by being in the sun and I had no sunscreen and I was sure to get a burn if I stayed out any longer! When he was done an hour or so later, I went to pick him up. We hung out at home for a while. Jill texted and wanted to know if I wanted to go with her to pick up some food from someone's house to take to the people who were in the motorcycle accident. So she and I headed off to do that. Then we dropped it off at the people's home who needed it.

This does make me wonder what they're doing when using the bathroom?!

Methinks if we buy a house in El Paso, I will invest in astro-turf so I have green grass all year round!

After we were done there, we came back to my house. The girls asked if they could spend the night with Holly at her hotel that night. I was fine with it, so she came and picked them up. They went to the outlet mall first then came home and grabbed their stuff and headed to Holly's. Nathan had gone to a birthday party for a boy from church and then he hung out there and went with them to a stake thing for the youth.

Lori texted Jill and I and wanted to know if we wanted to go over to her house. Jill's husband wasn't feeling well, so he stayed home. We went over and hung out there for a while. Nathan texted me about 10:00 to let me know he was home. Paul texted with me as well. Then I dropped Jill off at home and went home myself and crashed.

Sunday was a very lazy day for me. I think I stayed in jammies all day long! Holly had texted me at one point and said that Jannie was on a sugar high! Oops! She and the girls showed up late in the afternoon for dinner. I made fried chicken but I baked me some. Jill and I decided we can't cheat anymore on the low-carb diet!! So I made up some fried cabbage with mushrooms and onions (so yummy), broccoli and chicken. I had made some Rice-A-Roni for everyone else too. No one wanted the cabbage, mushrooms and onions. It was so yummy!!

After dishes were done and Holly left, I got ready to go walking. Paul called and he chatted with the kids and then I chatted with him while I made my way to Jill's. We walked the neighborhood and after, I came home and watched more of "Samantha Who."

Monday morning Jill came over early and we hung out working on FRG things and chatting until it was time to get my freeeeee tat. The other car dealer dude said he would pay for my next one. Sa-weet! My whole life I've wanted two tats: my zodiac sign (taurus) and my Chinese zodiac (dragon). I had the Taurus one done already and decided it was time for my Chinese zodiac to be done. I found the design I wanted, dropped it off to the dude who was going to do it on Saturday so he could get it all ready.

Does anyone know if flies are afraid of wasps?! There is a wasp that likes to frequent my hummingbird nectar thing. When he is around, no flies are. Once he leaves, the flies return. Anyone?!

This wasp skerrs me and the hummingbirds! He shows up every morning. I guess as long as I don't bother him then he won't bother me! Right! Right?! Say I'm right because he skerrs me!

So we headed out to the tat place to get the tat done. It took about 2 hours for it all to be done. The best part was leaving without having to pay for it (I did tip the dude). Jill was nice enough to come and hang out too. I didn't really talk at all because I was concentrating on trying not to feel the pain!

Surprisingly, it doesn't hurt as bad as the other two did! Maybe technique or placement has something to do with it?! I was done in time to get kids from school and later Nathan from feetsball. We had leftovers for dinner since there was pizza and chicken in the fridge. The kids chose pizza. hehe! That night, Jill and I walked. Then home I came to watch the last bit of "Samantha Who." Now I need another show to watch?!

Today I hung out at the house with Jill and Lori in the morning. We chatted and such and then Lori left to take Frances somewhere. Jill and I did FRG things then watched some movie on Lifetime. Yeah, I haven't seen a Lifetime movie in, well, dang, I don't know if I have ever watched one! hehe! We left before it was done because we were picking up more food for Jill to take to those motorcycle accident peeps. She dropped me off after we grabbed the food. I showered and got ready for the Coffee that was tonight at the Olive Garden.

I went and got kids from school and we hung out at home. Oh, I had gotten a flyer on my door the other day. This is totally off the topic, but I had to share because it cracked me up:

When is 100:00 PM?! I did find out that 100:00 PM really meant 10:00 AM! Say whaaaaaat?!

Anyway, about 4:30 Julie came to get Meghan. She had a FRG meeting tonight and she needed Meghan to watch her boys. She told me she was almost to my house so I went to the garage to open it up for her when someone else pulled into my driveway. It was a lady from church. I really don't know her. She said she missed me at church and hoped that one day I would come back. She is nice. I don't know her really at all. While she was chatting with me, Julie pulled in. The lady from church gave me a hug and left.

I chatted a bit with Julie and helped her put her necklace on. She broke her arm a few weeks ago and she couldn't get the necklace on herself. She and I chatted for a bit and then she left with Meghan.

Nathan got home from feetsball and he and Jannie ate dinner and I left about 5:30 to grab Lori and head to Olive Garden. I had a nice time there. I texted with Jill most of the time and some with Allison who was sitting at the other end of all the tables. It was about 2 1/2 hours that we were there and I headed home, dropping Lori off at her house. Oh and I was good there too! Did not eat any bread sticks or have any of their yummy pumpkin pie cheesecake! It is a seasonal thing and it is to die for! I highly suggest y'all to get a piece!! I had salmon and broccoli. Yes, not very Italian but low-carb!

When I got home, Nathan said that Meghan got home a little bit before me and that Jannie went to bed early on a dare from Holly. Whaaaaaat?! Sure enough, she was in bed sound asleep! WOOT! I think Holly needs to dare her this more often! hehe!!

I Had No Idea That Claire's Was A Top Secret Store!!

I had got a shirt the day I took the kids to get shoes for school (reminds me that I still need to order Nathan's shoes online). Well, one of the shirts still had a security tag on it so I had to take it back so they could remove it. Jill came along. We walked around and browsed many stores. We eventually hit up Claire's. Did you know you cannot take pictures in Claire's?! If you do, they'll yell at you then talk about you on the phone! I never saw a sign or anything of the sorts that said we could not take pictures! I had no idea that Claire's was a top secret store!! So yeah, we totally got in trouble for me taking a picture! hehe! Makes me want to go back and take more pictures...but with my camera on silence! Ha!

I really can't think of what all else I did this week. Hmm...I know one day I dropped the girls off at the pool when Jill and Lori went. I took Nathan up to Paul's work to sell some discount cards for feetsball. We thought we could hit up everyone Paul works with but we didn't have luck on our side. Most of the peeps were in some kind of class. He got some cards sold. Then he resorted to texting some of my friends on my cell about it and got a few more sales that way. I ended up buying 4. 1 for me and I bought 3 people's so they owe me money! I sure hope they pay up because the cards were $15 each! Eek! So he had to sell 15 and he sold 14. So he has decided to buy the last one with his lunch money this week and will try and see if someone from church will buy his card on Wednesday to get his money back! hehe! If he doesn't sell 15 then he has to run extra laps at feetsball and he doesn't want to run them.

On Friday I took my car to a Chevy dealer to get some recall work done on it. I thought about trading my car in on a new one...or at least try anyway. So Jill, being my battle buddy, and I went to the wrong dealership. The website claimed them to be GMC and Chevy and there was a car that both made that I wanted to compare. Yeah, we should have gone to a different dealership. So we walked around for a bit before anyone finally asked if we needed help. The dude, bless his heart, was a fuddy duddy. And off the topic here, if you insert "bless his/her heart" then it totally is not an insult! hehe!

So they didn't have what I really wanted and the dude came back with some numbers. I said that was ok and that I was going to try a different dealer. He said ok and got up and walked off. Didn't even try to keep me. So we had the courtesy vehicle drop us off at my house and we took Jill's car over to the other dealership. What we should have done was have the courtesy vehicle take us straight to this dealership! hehe!

We got there and again was ignored before David (the car salesman) came tripping around the corner. I liked him instantly. He was funny. But he had a sidekick, another car salesman named Randy. The two together were a trip. They played off each other and it was a good experience. We found the car I wanted and explained to them why I had gone to the other dealership and blah blah blah. Then Randy said, "If you buy this vehicle today, I will buy your next tattoo." David said, "And I will tint the front windows!" (the windows are tinted but the driver's and passenger doors). So yeah, someone owes me a tattoo and a tint job! Woot! hehe!

So we go to test drive and Randy tells us to drive to that other dealership to see if my car was ready so they could do a fair assessment on the car. So we drove all the way over there. David was all skerred about them being there...something about having a turf fight or something! hehe! Ok, he didn't say that. But he was afraid they would get in trouble by their boss for showing up at a dealership that wasn't theirs! My car wasn't done so we went back to the other dealership. I had the power of attorney for Paul and everything I needed for a deal. When all was said and done, I liked the deal I got and bought me a new car with a higher trade-in value than what the other dealer was going to give me. And this place didn't even see my car! Did it site unseen! hehe!

On Saturday I had to go to the bank we financed through to add my name to Paul's account there (his truck is financed through them too). They said I couldn't. I said, "Sure I can. I have a power of attorney. I just bought a car in his name without him here. I can add myself to his account too." After taking it all the way up to the bank manager, it was approved. hehe! I was added to the account and back to the dealership to finalize some papers and such and then I was on my way.

Sunday was a lazy day. Stayed home and then Holly came over. She had the girls stay at her hotel the night before. Holly is my sister that is here for her job for a couple of months. She dropped them off earlier in the day and then came back for dinner. Jill and her girls joined us as well. We had meatloaf, broccoli and baked potatoes. Jill and I are trying to do the low carb thing, so we made low carb meatloaf, which was yummy. And she made mock mashed potatoes with cauliflower. I was skeptical at first but after tasting them, they were super yummy! And surprisingly did taste a little like mashed potatoes! After dinner, Holly left as well as Jill and her girls. And we had to get things ready for the next day because school was starting! WOOT!

Paul had called and talked to the kids and wished them all well in school. Then he and I chatted for a bit. But because I had company over, he told me to call him back. So I did once everyone had left. He is still stressing school because it is getting harder and harder. He is doing well though. Top of class still. He had two big tests today and he passed them both but he said just by a hair. We got his tentative date to deploy after his schooling and we chatted about that too. Then I let him go so he could go to bed!

And today: FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! WOOT WOOT! I still can't believe I have a high schooler! That makes Paul really old now! hehe! Nathan told me when I picked him from feetsball this evening that they put him in a sophomore English class so he has to change it although he really doesn't want to. He liked the teacher. He did well in school and was happy that he had friends that attended it. So he saw lots of peeps and had a blast today. I still can't believe he is in high school!! Paul: you're old dude! hehe!

Meghan started 7th grade and loves it. She loved that we repinked her hairs yesterday because she got lots of compliments on it. She likes her teachers. Her only disappointment today was that they didn't put her in the magnet Spanish class, which means she has 2 Spanish classes instead of one. So she talked to the assistant principal about it who said he would try to get her in it. She talked to the teacher who teaches the class and she had Meghan last year too. Told Meghan that she would get into it. I told her that she needed to stay on top of it.

Jannie is in 5th grade and is typically my child who dislikes schools. But she raved about it today. She must have some good teachers or maybe she was excited for the first day of school?! She typically doesn't even get excited for the 1st day of school. She was happy that she didn't have to take Spanish this year but she will next year. She said that everyone loved her hairs too with the pink in it. The blue came out when she went swimming the other day so I just put more pink in it on Sunday. So she thought it was cool that her whole ponytail was pink. I should have taken a picture of that too! hehe!

Then a friend of mine from Kentucky had mentioned that she hadn't seen a self portrait on Facebook in a while and wanted to see how dark my hairs was. I mentioned on a status that it was supposed to have purple in it but it made it look black rather than purple. I don't even know if you can see the purple anymore in the sun! I used a different brand of purple on Sunday so that might have something to do with it?! So I took a couple of pictures of myself for Anjelique!

So the other day Lori told me that our FRG leader was leaving during the deployment and that Lori was going to take over. She asked me to be her co-leader. I chatted with the colonel's wife about it and she said that I should start coming out to the things that are typically for leaders and co-leaders. So yeah schedule this week just filled up fast! I have something FRG wise everyday this week! Thankfully only one of them is at night and the rest are during the day while the kids are at school.

So Lori told me today that some guy in Jill's husband's unit got in a motorcycle wreck and is badly hurt. Not life threatening but needs surgery and such, so now he is non-deployable. So the talk is that they are going to send Lori's husband to take this guy's job, which means that Lori will go back to Jill's FRG (Jill is leader of her FRG). So yeah, uh, I guess that means if that happens, I will be promoted to FRG leader of my FRG! Say whaaaaaat?! It's not official and I don't know when they'll know for sure. For my sake, I hope Rob doesn't move over. But for Rob's sake, I hope they give him that because it only helps with promotions. So I am torn! hehe

Well today is over. Kids are in bed. I am on my patio enjoying the nice weather and view. Maybe I will see what is on Netflix! I hope y'all have a great night!!

Stop Weeping, Hairs!!

Hello! How is everyone doing?! I am doing great. Been counting down the days for when school starts back up! Have school shopping done and I am ready for kids to head back to school! Nathan is taking all pre-ap courses and already has homework and school hasn't even started! Eek! So he is almost done with all that for the first day of school!

While shopping for supplies one day, the girls found a pink shag steering wheel cover and I totally had to buy it! They had matching seat covers but they were a tad more expensive so they'll have to wait...if I get them! I just need some pink fuzzy dice for my rear view mirror (I already have white fuzzy dice up there...hehe)! And I am including a random picture of something that made me laugh when I saw it!!

Seat covers are next! Oooh yeah! Maybe shag carpet and fuzzier dice?!

So I had colored my hairs dark brown and the other day I put purple in my hairs (I previously had the pink). And the purple made my hairs even darker so it looks black now! But you can see the purple when I am in the right light. I like it. I think I may have to keep my hairs dark?! I don't know. I know I have to keep it like this for a while since my poor hairs cry when I try to do anything to it...gun shy from 3 chemicals treatments to it in one day! Yeah I know, I'm dumb! It is still breaking off in spots so I didn't have to have a trim! HA! I did go in today to get the back trimmed because it was getting a bit too shaggy and it was looking like a mullet (sorta)! But I didn't have the top or sides trimmed at all! It is self trimming from breaking off! ha! Stop weeping, hairs!!

So on Monday Lori and Jill came over so hairs could be did. Don't worry, I just hung out and chatted. Nothing was put in my hairs at all! But the girls have been begging to get color put in their hairs so it ended up being one big hairs fest of coloring! Lori did her hairs as well as Meghan and Jannie and Jill's two girls! It was an all day affair! It was nice and a good day!!

Then after everyone had left, I had gone outside later to enjoy the nice weather and this *HUGE* fly kept bothering me! It was one of those biting flies! And yeah, he had me on edge because he kept creeping closer and closer to me! I kept telling him to leave me alone but he wouldn't listen! And drastic measures had to take place!! R.I.P. big huge fly! Oh and I found some effects for my camera and used the dead fly to see how the effects turned out.

Today I had told the kids we would hit up the outlet mall for shoes. The last thing I had to get for school and the one thing I loathe doing! I do not like shoe shopping with 3 kids! We have shoes on hold at different stores still! I am sure when they closed up tonight they realized we weren't coming back for them! But while I was waiting for kids to eat before we left, I played around more on my camera and took these:

So we finally got off on our trek to the mall. I chatted with my mama until I lost signal on the mountain heading over to the west si-eed. It was sunny out today but not overly hot so that is always a plus especially since the outlet mall you walk outside!!

The girls each got shoes but Nathan couldn't find any that he liked. So he said he would look online. I don't think he found any there either. The shoes he has now are still in good condition and fit him, but it's always been a tradition that they get a new pair of shoes for school. So he wants some. I guess we'll get them when he finds some!! I found me a few shirts on sale and bought them! So we all scored (I did get Nathan a shirt on sale so he wasn't empty handed either).

We got home and hung out until Jill picked me up and we headed to get our hairs cut. We chatted with Diana (the lady who cuts our hairs) and such. I really like her. She has become a friend of ours actually!! So Facebook and texting and such! Hehe! So after we that we headed back to our neck of the woods. Jill dropped me off and headed off to a meeting she had to go to for FRG leaders. Her girls were at my house so Brett (Jill's husband) stopped by and grabbed them.

Nathan texted about 6:30 that he was done with feetsball so I went and picked him up. He isn't liking it so much anymore. But I told him he committed to a season so he has to finish this semester at least. Next semester he can change out of it if he wanted to. He wanted a Smashburger for dinner so I dropped him off at home and I ran to the px to get some socks for Meghan and then grabbed a burger for Nathan. Then I made my way home.

Lori and Rob had stopped by to give me Paul's deployment orders. Then we chatted for a bit. Our FRG leader is heading home during the deployment so Lori will be the FRG leader instead of the co-leader. She told me she was grabbing me up to be her co-leader. So later this year, after dudes are deployed, I will get more busy with all that. They headed home after chatting for a bit.

I called Paul after they left and we chatted for a bit. He is doing well. He is starting the hard part of the course and it will remain as such until he graduates. I actually think it will get harder. But he is doing well and is the top student, so that is a plus too! He is doing well but misses being home. We all miss him too!

This El Paso Wind Needs To Seriously CALM Down!! Seriously!

This El Paso wind needs to seriously *CALM* down!! Seriously! Well, I've seen it stronger! But at night when it is rattling my windows is when I would like it to calm down! Or any time I have to be outside then it needs to calm down! hehe! So hello hello hello blog world! How goes it?! It's been about 5 days since I last blogged! Right now the TV is on and I am actually watching it. Shocking, I know! But one of the shows I've always liked watching is on: Locked Up Abroad. I love NatGeo for shows like this! I hardly ever watch tv and when I do it is typically whatever the kids are watching. I used to watch a lot of tv but not for a long time now. But I guess when there is nothing else to do and it's after 11:00 PM and I'm not tired then I can either do something with my hairs or watch tv. And seeing how my hairs didn't like the last chemical treatments of 3 in a row I figgered I was safer with tv. Yes, someone asked me if I had my hairs trimmed. No, no I didn't. It just really didn't like the last coloring! At least it isn't breaking off much anymore! ha! See, it hasn't fallen out yet, but I guess I shouldn't put so much chemicals in my hairs at one time! hehe! I don' know, maybe one day I'll shave it off and just start over!

The other day I went to the mall with Jill and we went into this one store that had lots of collectibles in it. And some of the collectibles were pretty old. Some were a, "say whaaaaaat?!" kind of moment like the following two pictures:

I really haven't done too much the last 5 days. Let's see, last Thursday I went to the mall with Teri. I haven't done much with her in a while. We spent a couple of hours together and then I dropped her off at home. She and her family left a couple of days ago to head up to Idaho. I texted a bit with her today.

Ben (Heather's boyfriend) and his son, Kam, got here Thursday night. He is supposed to be moving here to expand their realty business. So he had some business here. Nathan was glad to have a boy his age at the house. They stayed with us until Tuesday when they headed back to K'town/Austin. He took Colby home with him. So I am one child less now and it's funny how you can tell when one kid is gone! Jannie's room has actually stayed clean since Tuesday! hehe!

Jill and her family finally returned to the Promised Land from Florida. They came home on Friday and we've hung out almost everyday. Glad she is home! And Lori and her family got home the other day too! And we switched cars back. But it seemed like everyone left last week at the same time with block leave! So yeah, last week was a long week! ha!

Today, I took Nathan to feetsball super early. He is on 2-a-day practices and he is to be there super duper early in the AM. I have come home and gone back to bed after taking him. He is loving feetsball and is hoping to get running back. And tomorrow I will officially have a high schooler as we will finish registering him for school. He is supposed to get his school ID card and schedule tomorrow. I was going to go in the morning for that but if I do, then I would have to wait for the hour between practices and then his ID card would have him all sweaty and such from feetsball. So they're there all day so I figgered I would wait until he is done with feetsball and he could shower and such and be a bit more presentable! And not so stinky and sweaty! hehe!

So tomorrow morning I will have to head to the girls' school to get their teacher info and the school supply list. So this weekend I will have to go school supply shopping. Oh joy! I am *SO* looking forward to that! ha! Know what I am really looking forward to?! School starting! WOOT! hehe! I told the girls that I was going to head there in the morning and they didn't act like they wanted to come. But I am sure they will be going because after all is said and done, then they really want to know their teachers and where their lockers are at! So I'll do this in the morning and then Nathan's school in the afternoon!

So today we hung out at home until about 3:00ish. Jill texted and wanted to know if I wanted to go to the mall with her to look for a new purse. I was game. We checked out one store called Charming Charlie and we found these really coughcough cool coughcough sunglasses. So I had to take a picture with us in them. But Jill pulled a face and then only gave me permission to use the picture if I cropped it. So y'all get our eyes in the super stellar sunglasses! hehe!

I took kids to the church for activities and chatted with Paul on the phone. I don't know what Nathan did but Meghan learned how to change a tire and such like that. So I watched them and when I wasn't on the phone with Paul, I chatted with Jill since she went with me. Jannie didn't have an activity tonight so she ran around with some of her friends. That is, when she wasn't in the car drinking her soda! hehe!

At home the kids took showers and got ready for bed. I took Jill home and we walked the neighborhood for a bit since I've stopped exercising for a while now! UGH! So trying to get back into the motivation of things and doing it again! I am hoping once school starts back up it'll be easier to get back on a program!

After walking we ran to Wal Mart because we needed a few things. I am trying the no carb to low carb diet and I was out of eggs and a few other necessities for that. So we made a quick trip there. Then I dropped Jill off at home and headed home. Kids had gone to bed, I am assuming at the the time I told them to. School is fixing to start so now is the time to try and get them used to their bedtime again. For all I know, they heard the garage door open and they ran to bed! hehe! I know we used to do that when I was a kid and my folks left. When we heard the garage door open, we would run to bed and pretend we were sleeping! ha!

I checked on the kids and then went to sit outside on the patio. I don't know how long I lasted out there but not too long. The wind is super strong now and it was blowing my laptop off the table. Yeah that isn't a good thing!! So I came inside and got ready for bed and then sat down in bed to blog. Oh while on the patio, I took pictures of the two places that I am trying to grow grass. The one up against the rock wall is thicker and such because the water from the sprinkler system runs down and so it gets a lot of water and it typically stays in the shadow! But I'm happy grass is growing!!

Hopefully It'll Cover The "Hole" Area?!

The grass is starting to grow where the hole was at! There's more today but I didn't take a picture of it. I took this picture yesterday or the day before?! Anyway, there's a small patch of grass growing! Hopefully it'll cover the "hole" area?! Hehe!

So one night this week I changed my labret back to the stud from the ring. The ring felt like it was cutting into the back of my lip and it was sore. When I got it pierced, they pierced it with a 14 gauge. I thought it was a tad big so I went down to a 16 gauge (the smaller the number, the bigger it is. So a 5 gauge is HUGE). Anyway, when I changed it, I went to put in the 14 gauge but the rod wouldn't go through so I figured it must have been closing down to a 16 gauge. So I put in a 16 gauge stud.

I closed my last blog out with me taking kids to church activities. We stopped and got some food at the drive thru and headed to the church. Our building has a wide area of stairs so I was sitting on those eating and chatting with some of the peeps from church. At one point as I was eating, somehow the back of the labret got stuck on my teeth (first time ever with a shorter rod) and it pulled the stud thru the hole! OUCH! And of course it started to bleed. So now I am trying to not get sick and pass out! hehe!

I tried to push the stud back through but I could tell *THAT* wasn't going to happen. So I tried to pull it through and it wasn't going anyway. In the meantime, I am holding a napkin to my lip area to stop the bleeding. And I was thinking how I didn't want to go to the ER for this! And I also concluded that while the 14 gauge was too big, the 16 gauge was too small! Then I also concluded that the 14 gauge should work now because the stud was just pulled through, halfway! Well, I had all sorts of thoughts going through my head at the moment! hehe! But more importantly, I was trying not to get sick and pass out. And that was just seeing the blood on the napkin and not on my lip area! hehe!

So I figured I had to pull harder because I was *NOT* going to the ER. So I grabbed the back of the labret and yanked hard. And it came through and of course was bleeding now on the inside. So I took a drink of my DDP and swished it around. Oh at this time, no one was out by me because they all went in for their activities. So I pull it through, swish my mouth with DDP and hold pressure to the outside of my lip with the napkin. Someone walked out by me and asked if I was hurt. I said, "Just a tad. Hazards of facial piercings! HA!" She laughed and went back inside. So I decided I was going to switch back to 14 gauge because the studs are bigger and I didn't want to experience that again!

So I left to go to the mall to grab some 14 gauge studs because the only one I had that size was the one they pierced me with and it was too long. Karen said she would take my kids home if I wasn't back in time. So I ran to the mall, found a pack at Spencers, paid and headed back to the church. I was there on time. Grabbed the kids and headed home. I got home and pulled the pack out and it wasn't the ones I picked out. And they were the wrong size too! I called Spencers and told them and they said to bring them in the next day and they would switch them out. Typically they don't do that because "All sales are final" on body jewelry. So I put in the 14 gauge one I had when they pierced it.

So, I had told Paul and Jill (via texting) that I was going to take out the labret because it wasn't looking so well. It has been my hardest piercing. And it looked infected. But I was going to give it a few more days. Well, when that ball went through my lip, it obviously opened the hole back up a bit more and the infection was pulled out too. My lip actually looks and feels so much better! It was looking a bit mad before but now it isn't so bad. I am cleaning it a heck of a lot more than I need to just to make sure no more infections come about. And I know this is the story y'all wanted to read! hehe!

So I had maintenance come today. I typically don't call them because it means I have to call them! HA! But now I can submit work orders online! So I submitted some the other day and they scheduled to come out this morning between 8-12. So I had to get up by 7:30 so I could shower and dress before they came, just in case they came at 8:00. They were going to fix my toilets from running all the time and my ice maker has been broken since December.

I woke up to Jill texting me a little before 7:00. She was letting me know their plane was delayed almost an hour and wasn't sure about when they were going to land in El Paso. So we texted back and forth until it was time for me to shower. We concluded that she would just text me when they landed and I would go get them then. Thankfully it's only like a 10 minute drive from my house to the airport! Woot! So I showered and got dressed, fed Sarge and let him out and did up some laundry.

The maintenance dude came a little after 8:00 AM. He fixed the toilets first and then looked at the ice machine. He said he was going to have to replace it. So he went out and got a new machine. I asked him when he came back in about the fluorescent light I had in my kitchen that was burned out. Typically they're one for one exchange at self help, but I hardly go on main post and when I do, I forget to bring it. So he said he could get me one. Then I told him I had 2 lights in my bathroom above the mirror that were out too. I looked for the kind of bulb before at Wal Mart and couldn't find one. He went back and grabbed one of the burned ones and said he would look too. He said if I wasn't home today when he got back over here then he would leave them on the front porch. Sounded good to me. So he fixed the ice maker too and as I type this, I just heard the first batch of ice drop into the ice tray! WOOT! I will prolly have to toss the first few especially if they're brown! HA! When we first moved in and we turned on the ice machine, the first 3 or 4 times the ice dropped, they were brown or brown-ish.

After the maintenance dude left, I chatted some with Ben. He is my sister's boyfriend and he is going to move out here. Anyway, he and his son drove here and got in last night and crashed here. By this time, he was up. So he and I chatted and then I left to Jill's house to feed her cats. And now I am back home. I did up some more laundry and texted with Paul while he was at lunch. So far, he's the only person who hasn't failed a test but he is worried about the one they took this morning. I told him I am sure he did fine on it! Jill also texted that their flight to El Paso wasn't delayed, just the one flight was. Also texted some with Karen and Allison and Missy. I was a texting fool today. Allison and Missy were about FRG stuff. Block leave is coming to an end soon so FRG stuff is being brought back up! HA! As for the rest of the day, I have no plans yet! I am thinking of heading to the west si-eed to hit up a few places, one being Sprint to get a new cover for my phone and to see if Randy is working. Maybe he can get me a new screen without it costing me $100!! I hope y'all have a great day!

I've been trying to stay busy this week. Monday I got up and took Nathan to feetsball when Lori texted me. She was letting me know that she couldn't get her tags renewed to the truck I was using because the system was down, even online! So the solution was this: I was taking Jill and crew to the airport so I'd have her car to drive until Friday. In the meantime, they were to renew their tags online and I would check their mail and when it came, I would attach it to the truck. However, they needed to leave the keys to their other car just in case Friday came around and there was still no sticker then I wouldn't be without a car (because Friday Jill and crew will need their car back). So she dropped off car keys and mailbox keys. So yeah, I have access to 3 vehicles right now and none of them are mine! One of mine is in my hometown of Killeen since Lori and them are visiting Rob's mama who lives there.

I took Jill and crew to the airport on Monday and I believe that is about all I did that day. Hmmm...yep, that is it. We all just hung out at home until it was time to go feed Jill's cat. Oh and her dog, Sarge, is staying with us for the 5 days she is gone. I don't know why she would ask me being an irresponsible pet owner and all. Geez!! But to date, Sarge follows me around everywhere and even sleeps in my bed. He's lucky to sleep in bed with me as I typically don't allow that! And yes, he is being fed and loved and all the kind of stuff I have gotten attacked in the past for not doing to dogs. So ridiculous! Anyway, cats are still alive as I go over there and feed and water them. Now, I don't do too much with them as I really dislike cats. I like them as long as they're not mine. The girls play with them while we are there to feed the cats. Tomorrow, Jannie gets the loverly job of cleaning out the litter boxes! haha!

So on Tuesday I decided to take the kids, minus Nathan, to see the "Smurfs" movie. Uh, yeah, that was *THE* worst movie *EVER*! If you have the opportunity to see it, DON'T! hehe! And don't say I didn't warn you! Jannie said the best part of the movie was when I exclaimed, "OH. MY. GOSH! This movie is so dumb!" That was at the end! hehe! She had to agree with me!!

So as a present to myself for suffering through such a movie, I bought me some new shoes. I may take them back. I still haven't decided if I am going to keep them or not. They were on sale for cheap, but I don't know. I may still take them back. I haven't worn them yet because I am still debating on them!!

So today is Wednesday and I was bored out of my mind. And either friends have sick kids, which caused craft day to be canceled tomorrow, or they're out of town. So I was left home bored out of my mind and unsupervised. So what happens when that combination occurs?! My hairs suffers!! So I went to Sally, bought some bleach and then some very dark brown hair color (it said very dark brown but it was black - haha). So I started out bleaching my hairs:

Then after I bleached my hairs, I ran to the Commissary while my hair dried so I could apply the color. I got a few groceries and the kids were with me. But although they're older (youngest being 10) they sure acted like little kids. So much so that 3 of them (I have my nephew with me) had to go sit up against the wall quietly with their arms folded while I finished with self checkout. Yes, typically I don't do that, but when I asked them to stop and then they got in trouble by the Commissary dude, yeah, it was time they had to go sit down. They were very quiet from that point on. So we left and headed home and I applied the very dark brown (aka black) to my hairs. And I let it sit for the acquired time then rinsed. I only used half of the hair color since my hairs is short.

I rinsed and uh the tips of my hairs didn't take! All over too! It looked like I had black hairs with gray-ish tips! It was, uh, not what I had expected! So I used the other half of the hair color and I was afraid my hairs would fall out before the tips took color! So I didn't leave it in as long as the last time because the developer was starting to burn just a tad being the 3rd time I had it on my head! So I rinsed. And it made the dark parts of my head darker but the tips were *STILL* gray-ishhehe! Anyway, here's the results:

No, that isn't a zit. Yes, I got a labret piercing but I was taking a picture of my hairs (did I not post pictures of the labret piercing?!)

I even had a ring through it. However, I've tried 2 different kinds of rings and I have disliked both. Will stick with the labret studs from now on! (1 August 2011)

Before the added color, it looked like I had gray-ish hairs! Any pink you see is where gray-ish was at! D'oh!

I was going to get my hairscut today, but after talking to Diana, she said that most of the pink would be cut out, so I am keeping it not cut for a bit. Nathan got his hairs cut and so did Meghan. Meghan got more of a trim. Then I came home and hung out here until it was time to take all 4 kids to church activities. So now I am done blogging and the kids are in the car waiting to go! Sorry I have been nonexistent the last few days! Ok, so I don't remember when I last posted. I believe the day after the coffee. So yeah, I've been super busy since then! Heather, Ben (her boyfriend), Tyler, Reilly and Colby (Heather's boys) came the night of the coffee. In fact, as it was getting over, they were showing up. So glad that most of the peeps were gone before they showed up because by the time Heather and them got here, I was already relaxing from all the peeps in my house.

So we've been busy just hanging out and such. Went out to eat way too many times! But I'm not complaining! It was super fun! On Friday night, when it was Julie's softball game, Heather and Ben took kids to see a movie and then up on the tram that over looked El Paso. I went on that ONCE! And while I am glad I had done it, I don't know if I will ever go again! I have this thing with heights. More importantly, I have this thing with trams being held up by dental floss! hehe!

Heather and them left today. They were going to stay longer, but something came up and they headed home. Colby stayed here. Ben will be back on Wednesday so he'll bring more clothes for Colby. And then in a couple of weeks, when Ben is back, then he'll take Colby home with him.

One night she took me, Jill and Brett, Lori and Rob out to dinner. We went to a place called Shellsy's Oyster Bar or something like that. Lots of cajun seafood there. It was super yummy. We had a great time!! But I was the odd man out and that isn't always the best of feeling! Hmph! Where's Paul when I need him?! hehe! So I had a great time with Heather and them here!
